Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana, Queen of Thailand, is the consort of King Vajiralongkorn (Rama X). Born Suthida Tidjai on June 3, 1978, in Nakhon Pathom Province, she embodies dedication, service, and grace.

Queen Suthida’s journey to the throne is marked by her distinguished career in the military. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts from Assumption University in 2000. Following graduation, she joined the Royal Thai Army, rising through the ranks to become a general. Before her marriage, she held the title of Deputy Commander of the King’s Guard.

Her commitment to the King’s personal security detail played a significant role in her ascent. Her dedication and professionalism were evident, and she was awarded several honors and promotions throughout her military career. This included the royal decoration of Knight Grand Cordon (Special Class) of the Most Exalted Order of the White Elephant.

On May 1, 2019, just days before King Vajiralongkorn’s coronation, Suthida Tidjai was officially registered as his wife and bestowed with the title of Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana. The surprise announcement was broadcast on Thai television, marking a new chapter in her life and for the Thai monarchy.

Since becoming Queen, she has actively participated in royal duties alongside the King. These duties encompass a wide range of activities, from attending religious ceremonies and presiding over state functions to supporting charitable organizations and visiting communities throughout Thailand. She is frequently seen accompanying the King on visits to provinces, where they interact with local residents and offer assistance to those in need. Her presence is viewed as a symbol of unity and support for the Thai people.
