King’s Birthday Honours: A Celebration of Service

Each year, on or around the King’s official birthday in June, the King’s Birthday Honours List is released, recognizing extraordinary achievements and service across the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth. • Members of the Order of the British Empire (MBE): Awarded for an outstanding achievement or service to the community.

Beyond these Orders, there are also other forms of recognition, such as the Companion of Honour (CH), awarded for outstanding achievements in the arts, literature, music, science, politics, industry, or religion, and various gallantry awards for acts of bravery.
